17th Annual Darlington Cross Country Festival

High School (5K), Middle School (3200m), and Elementary (1 mile) races

COVID Precautions:
We will not be able to provide water after the race and all chips must be removed by each team's coach and returned to the timing tent by the team.
Our course has been slightly altered to allow tent village to be expanded to cover both soccer fields. Teams will have assigned areas in which they will need to place their tent. No spectators will be allowed in the tent village unless there is an emergency.
There will be no awards ceremonies so we encourage all spectators and teams to leave the grounds when their teams have completed their races. We will deliver awards at the race if possible or will we ship them to you.

Online entry must be completed by Sept. 23 at 10pm. Please mail checks by 9/24.
Cost: $75 for one gender, one age group; $150 for HS boys & girls OR MS boys & girls.
$250 for HS boys & girls AND MS boys & girls. $5 per runner for the Open 5K Race.
For the elementary race, the cost is $7 per runner for the first 20 runners. Every runner after that is free. Individual runners can still enter on the day of the meet for $10 each.

Entry: High school coaches: Put your top 27-32 runners in the Milesplit entry for the meet. On race day you pick 10 to run in the varsity race, and pick 15 (girls) and 15 (boys) for the JV races. You do not need to tell anyone which race a runner will participate in. There will be no JV unlimited race this year.
Middle school coaches: All of your runners in the must be listed in your Milesplit online entry; they will all wear bib numbers and chips. Please....do a 'tug check" on each runner's shoe to make sure the chip has been put on properly! Middle school runners must be in 6th, 7th, and 8th grades only!

8:30 a.m. Boys Varsity A (limit 10 runners)
9:00 a.m. JV HS Girls (15 runners per team, no team awards, but race will be scored & timed)
9:30 JV HS Boys (15 runners per team, no team awards, but race will be scored & timed)
10:00 Varsity HS Girls B (limit 10 runners)
10:30 Varsity HS Boys (limit 10 runners)
All High School Teams please leave the grounds.
12:30 MS boys 3200m (ALL runners)

Awards will be distributed to coaches or shipped. No awards ceremonies will take place after races.
Top two teams in the HS and MS varsity races will receive trophies. There are no team awards in JV races.
Top two individuals in all varsity races will receive trophies; Top 10 runners in all races (varsity and JV, boys and girls) will receive medals; top 10 boys and girls in elementary 1-mile will receive medals.
Parking: There will be a $5 parking fee for all cars (please tell parents to bring exact change). Team buses will park for free.
Electronic results will be available online the day of the race * * All HS races are GHSA sanctioned * Course is 50% grass, 50% crushed gravel, flat and fast. * Concessions: will not be available * Certified medical trainer will be available * Directions available online; parking at the Huffman Athletic Center on Darlington Drive. * NO REFUNDS; meet will be rescheduled to Oct. 10 if there is a postponement due to inclement weather. *

All middle school athletes (6th, 7th, 8th grades) must run in middle school races. No one younger than 9th grade will be allowed in any of the high school 5K races
